Knockwood
Bill is a thoroughbred born in 1998. We found him via Canter Illinois after his racing career had done as much as it could do to him. His compassion and sense of curiosity are only tempered by his enjoyment of a good scratch and relaxing with the group (or a gingersnap).
Povidla
Petr is a thoroughbred born in 1996. He was rescued from a series of poor situations by the Indiana Horse Rescue (APC) and we adopted him! Petr is still dealing with the psychological aftermath of his past, but his gentle and sweet sweet personality cannot be missed. Petr has blossomed into a confident, charming guy here at BPF.
Leeward Son
Leo is a gaited morgan/arabian born sometime around 1997. He was rescued from a severe neglect and abuse situation by the Indiana Horse Rescue, and we originally took him on as a foster. Leo is such a little sweetheart, and deserves all the peaceful happiness the future can offer him. He and Petr are buddies, and are usually not far from one another. Leo is beginning his journey toward becoming a healthy and happy guy, and we love seeing Petr, who has overcome his own demons, aiding him in this transformation.
Sanuye
Sano was possibly born in 2004, but we really don't know for sure. He was rescued by the Indiana Horse Rescue from a neglect situation, and we snatched him up! We think he is a quarter horse arabian cross. Sano is quite the individual-- he is extremely quick-witted and speaks his mind in every situation. His curiosity and eagerness to learn and absorb information is bottomless. Sano has become quite the gentleman, and we can't wait to see how he progresses in the next years.
Pearl
Pearl Came to live here with Classy. The two girls have come into their own here at BPF, and Pearl is such a wonderful lady to have around, with her enthusiastic greetings and inquisitive nature. Her confidence grows with each passing day, and we look forward to her continued success.
Schakolad
Schak came to live here in January of 2013. He's an energetic young man who is enjoying his youth at BPF.
Chena
Chena is our beloved farm dog. We believe she has Newfoundland, German Shepherd, and some sort of sight hound in her family. She enjoys spending time in the barn and with the horses in the pasture-- they put up with her well enough, and she defends the barn from other canids and the occasional o'possum.
